No. 6 Volleyball takes down No. 16 Kentucky, 3-1

Four Longhorns finished with double-digit kills hitting .344 or better.
AUSTIN, Texas – Junior Micaya White posted a season-high 18 kills to lead No. 6 Texas Volleyball past No. 16 Kentucky, 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-18, 25-16) on Friday night at Gregory Gym.
White's 18 kills came on 38 swings, committing only two errors for a season-best .421 hitting percentage. She also finished with 11 digs and one block.
Freshman Logan Eggleston recorded 15 kills (.344), also adding five digs, two blocks, and one ace, while senior Morgan Johnson finished with 12 kills and only one error (.550), seven blocks and two digs. Freshman Katarina Luketic led the Longhorns with eight blocks, also posting 10 kills (.318) and two digs.
Freshman Brionne Butler had five blocks and eight kills (.583), while sophomore Ashley Shook had 51 assists, seven digs, two blocks, and one kill.
Freshman Sydney Petersen led Texas with 15 digs while adding two assists and one ace. Juniors Claire Hahn and Autumn Rounsaville added seven and three digs, respectively.
The Longhorns will face No. 4 Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif. on Tuesday Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. CT. Stanford and Texas will face again in Austin three days later on Friday Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. CT.
