No. 10 Men’s Golf finishes fourth at Big 12 Match Play

Longhorns finish in fourth place at Big 12 Match Play.
HOUSTON, Texas – No. 10 Texas men's golf finished Big 12 Match Play in third after a tie with Kansas State in the championship play, but ultimately took fourth on holes won differential.
In the final round of Pool A, Texas Fall to Texas Tech, 3-2-1, with wins from senior Spencer Soosman, 1UP, and Pierceson Coody, 3&1.
The loss to TTU caused the Longhorns to compete for third place in the championship round.The Longhorns tied with Kansas State with a 3-3-0 match to tie for third, but took fourth on holes won differential.
Texas got wins from Travis Vick, Christoffer Bring, and Spencer Soosman, who all won 1UP matches over the Wildcats.
Bring and Vick finished the tournament with 4-1-0 individual records.
Texas will return to action at the Tavistock Collegiate Tournament on Oct. 20-22.
