No. 2 Women's Golf in third entering final day of Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

Sophomore Agathe Laisne leads the way for the Longhorns.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The No. 2 Texas women's golf team is currently in third place, 12 strokes back of the lead, entering the final day of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Monday at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The Longhorns currently sit at 18-over-par with a two-round total of 586 [298-288]. No. 13 Stanford leads the highly competitive field – 11 of the nation's top-20 teams are competing at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge – with a six-over-par 574 [295-279]. No. 12 UCLA is in second place with a 12-over-par 580 [291-289].
Texas sophomore Agathe Laisne is in a tie for second place among individuals with a one-over-par 143 [69-74]. Stanford's Andrea Lee, the nation's No. 4 ranked individual, leads the field with a two-under-par 140 [70-70].
Over the event's first 36 holes, Texas has carded a field-leading 121 pars.
A LOOK AT THE LINEUP
- Laisne is seeking her first individual victory as a Longhorn and is three strokes back of the individual lead with a one-over-par 143 [69-74].
- Freshman Sára Kousková is tied for 17th with a five-over-par 147 [75-72]. She leads all golfers in the field with 30 pars.
- Freshman Hailee Cooper [77-72] and sophomore Kaitlyn Papp [79-70] are tied for 25th place with seven-over-par 149s. Papp's 70 marked her team-leading 12th round at par or better this season.
- Junior Emilee Hoffman is tied for 64th place with a 14-over-par 156 [77-79].
