- Texas enters Friday night with a commanding 23-3-1 advantage in its all-time series against Iowa State, including a 9-2-1 mark on the road in Ames. UT has won the last three overall meetings between the two programs with the Cyclones last victory coming at the Cyclone Sports Complex back on Oct. 14, 2016, 2-0.
- Junior midfielder Julia Grosso has now scored goals in consecutive matches for the first time in her standout career by tickling the twine against No. 7 West Virginia (Oct. 2) and Kansas State (Oct. 9). Over the past two years, Grosso has scored 10 goals on her last 23 shots on frame (43% shot efficiency).
- Senior midfielder/forward Haley Berg is currently riding a three-match point-scoring streak for the fifth time in her illustrious career in the Burnt Orange & White. If the Celina, Texas, native tallies at least one point at Iowa State, she would equal her longest career point-scoring streak of four matches set from Oct. 7-21, 2018.
- Talk about wasting no time! Freshman midfielder Sophia Claros earned her first career collegiate playing time against Kansas State (Oct. 9) by entering the contest as a sub at the 87:49 mark. She needed just 35 SECONDS to get on the stat sheet by recording her first career assist on Kailey Smith's goal at 88:24.
- The seven-goal wipeout of Kansas State (Oct. 9) led to more national honors for the Longhorns as junior midfielder Julia Grosso was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, while freshman forward Presley Echols picked up her second honorable mention nod of the season. It's the second time Texas has boasted two Top Drawer Soccer honorees in 2020 after senior midfielder/forward Haley Berg made the full 11-member squad (Sept. 29) and Echols (first career goal in her collegiate debut) reaped an honorable mention selection after combining on the goal to beat Oklahoma (Sept. 25), 1-0.
- With her goal at 2:01 of the 7-0 thrashing of Kansas State (Oct. 9), senior midfielder/forward Haley Berg entered the Texas career top 10 for goals. Check out where Berg currently ranks in the career record books below:

- Eight different Longhorns have debuted in the Burnt Orange & White over the opening five matches of 2020. Sophomore defender Jennessa Groves has played in all five matches and received her first career start in the backline at TCU (Sept. 18). Freshman defender Lauren Lapomarda earned her first career start in the opener against Kansas (Sept. 11) and played 41 minutes, while fellow rookies Kelsey Hranicky and Morgan Pace both earned their first career collegiate playing time coming off the bench at TCU. Sophomore midfielder/forward Lauryn Oliver debuted at Texas as a substitute against the Jayhawks, while freshman forward Presley Echols made her first collegiate start and playing time count against Oklahoma (Sept. 25) by scoring her first career goal and match-winner to beat the Sooners. Both freshman midfielder Avery Vander Ven (17 minutes) and freshman midfielder Sophia Claros (two minutes) received their first career playing time as subs in the 7-0 thrashing of Kansas State (Oct. 9).
- With her 63rd-minute match-winning score against Oklahoma, freshman forward Presley Echols became the first Longhorns freshman to score a goal in her collegiate debut since then-rookie forward Sydney Nobles tickled the twine in the 2019 season opener against Gonzaga.
- The Longhorns have won 29 consecutive matches in which they scored two-or-more goals in a contest dating back to the start of the 2017 season. The last time Texas failed to win when tickling the twine on two occasions was in a 3-2 defeat at TCU back on Oct. 28, 2016.
- Texas is 20-3-1 since the start of the 2018 season when scoring first in a match.
- After going just 2-8 in one-goal matches back in 2016, the Longhorns have turned around their fortunes in such contests by going 26-14 in their last 40 one-goal matches since beginning 2017.
