LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Track and Field sophomore Leo Neugebauer's heptathlon victory highlighted a trio of strong performance by Longhorns in multi-event competition at the Texas Tech Invitational on Saturday.
Neugebauer shined in the final three events of the heptathlon on Saturday. He clocked his collegiate-best in the 60-meter hurdles, placing third at 8.37. Neugebauer followed it up by clearing 5.00m/16-8.75 to win the pole vault competition, and then completed the 1,000-meter run in 3:03.00.
