Baseball’s Madden Named Preseason All-American

Longhorn right-handed pitcher Ty Madden earned a spot on the Perfect Game Preseason All-American first team.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball right-handed pitcher Ty Madden was named a Perfect Game First Team Preseason All-American, the publication announced Tuesday.
Madden made the move to the rotation last season and pitched 25 innings, compiling a stellar 1.80 ERA with 26 strikeouts to only four walks. Opponents batted just .196 against Madden during the abbreviated 2020 season.
In his career, Madden has a 2.81 ERA with 63 strikeouts in 67.1 innings pitched. He has posted a 7-1 record in 19 total appearances and 12 starts.
Madden and left-handed pitcher Pete Hansen were also named to the Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-America second team.
