No. 15 Women’s Golf concludes opening round at NCAA Louisville Regional

The Longhorns fired a 9-over 297 and are in seventh place at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The No. 15 Texas women's golf team shot a 9-over 297 and is in seventh place after the first round of the NCAA Louisville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club on Monday.
Texas was paced by an even-par performance from senior Kaitlyn Papp, who is tied for 11th following the opening round of play. With the Longhorns starting on the 10th tee, Papp recorded bogies on the 12th and 15th holes, but settled in from there with a par or better through the rest of the round, including birdies on the 17th and fourth holes.
Agathe Laisne is tied for 17th after finishing the day at 1-over par, making par on 15 holes and closing out her round with a birdie on the ninth hole.
Sara Kouskova and Bentley Cotton are tied for 43rd with 4-over par 76. Kouskova carded a team-high three birdies, opening her round with a birdie on the 10th hole and collecting birdies on the first and ninth holes. Cotton made 13 pars and had a birdie on the sixth hole.
Hailee Cooper is tied for 82nd at 7-over, making par on 10 holes and a birdie on the second hole.
Texas is scheduled to tee off with UCF and Tennessee at 7 a.m. CT on Tuesday. Live results will be available throughout the second round of the NCAA Louisville Regional on Golfstat.com.
