The Longhorns tied for second and had two top-10 finishers.
SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The No. 15 Texas women's golf team tied for second place at the NCAA Louisville Regional, finishing at 11-over par at the University of Louisville Golf Club on Wednesday and advancing to a fifth consecutive NCAA Championship. Kaitlyn Papp and Agathe Laisne both finished in the top 10, tying for fourth and seventh, respectively.
"There is no doubt in my mind that we received help from Jake (Ehlinger) today. Our team definitely played with some heavy hearts this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ehlinger family in this incredibly difficult time," said Texas head coach Ryan Murphy. "I'm proud of this team. They deserve to be going to Scottsdale. They have been resilient through significant challenges, as we've all experienced, and come through it. Again, I'm so proud of them."
Texas will make its 29th NCAA Championship appearance in program history. The 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship begins Friday, May 21 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Laisne improved her score in each round, shooting a 1-over 73 in the first round followed by an even-round performance on day two.
"I'm particularly happy for our seniors that led us this week," Murphy said. "Both Pappy and Agathe have been instrumental in all our team's success over the past four years. One more for them!"
