Texas looks for 19th win at Red & Charline McCombs Field this season when the Longhorns host the Lumberjacks
AUSTIN, TX – Following a six-game road trip last week, The University of Texas softball program returns to the friendly confines of Red & Charline McCombs Field for a non-conference matchup against Stephen F. Austin at 6 PM CT on Wednesday, March 22.
The game can be viewed on the Longhorn Network with Alex Loeb and Cat Osterman calling the action. Andrew Haynes will also describe the game on the radio airwaves at 105.3 FM.

- Entering Wednesday night's game, Texas has the seventh most home wins (18) among Division I softball programs.

- Leighann Goode will go into Texas' Wednesday night game with a team-leading 46 hits, which is the third most in Division I softball, most by any Big 12 softball student-athlete and the most by a Division I softball freshman.
- Viviana Martinez is the next closest freshman to Goode's total as the Arizona native has been credited with 43 hits in 32 games played.
- Goode, Martinez and Texas Tech's Kailey Wychoff (41) are the only Division I freshmen to have 40-or-more hits on the season so far.

- Following her home run at USF on Sunday, March 19, Reese Atwood will look to become the second Longhorn softball student-athlete to hit a home run in three consecutive games this season.

- A Texas win over Stephen F. Austin would be the 19th win for the Longhorns at Red & Charline Field during the 2023 season, tying the 2009 team for the 16th most home wins in a single season.

- Texas' Viviana Martinez (32) and Leighann Goode (30) will take the field against the Lumberjacks on Wednesday needing just three and five RBIs, respectively, to pass Baylor's Shaylon Govan's conference-leading mark of 34.
- Additionally, Martinez' 32 RBI are two shy of tying UCLA's Megan Grant (34) for the most by a Division I softball freshman student-athlete.
