No. 7 Women’s Golf ninth after first round at ANNIKA Intercollegiate

LAKE ELMO, Minn. — The No. 7 Texas Women's Golf team shot even-par 288 on Monday and in ninth place after the opening day of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M at Royal Golf Club.
The 12-team field at the season-opening ANNIKA Intercollegiate includes nine squads ranked in the top 13 of the WGCA Coaches Poll.
Cindy Hsu and Farah O'Keefe led the Longhorns in the opening round as each carded a one-under-par 71.
The ANNIKA Intercollegiate continues tomorrow with 18 holes on Tuesday and 18 holes on Wednesday. Texas will be paired with Virginia and Florida State in the second round and will start tee times at 9:35 a.m. central time.
The Lineup
• Sophomore Cindy Hsu shot a one-under-par 71 in her first round of the season. Hsu made birdie on hole 18 her final hole of the day for the Horns and is T19 on the individual leaderboard.
• Freshman Farah O'Keefe made three birdies for her round on the way to a one-under-par 71 and is T19 on the individual leaderboard.
• Freshman Lauren Kim made four birdies on her opening nine holes including birdies on 6, 7, and 8 and shot a one-over-par 73 in her first collegiate round.
• Freshman Selina Liao made three birdies on her back nine holes on the way to a one-over-par 73.
• Senior Bentley Cotton birdies holes 7, 8 and 9 and added a birdie on her back nine. Cotton carded a three-over-par 75 in her opening round.

• Junior All-American Bohyun Park carded a three-under-par 69 with five birdies and is T2 after her opening round.
• Sophomore Angela Heo eagled the 18th hole in her opening round and carded a four-over-par 76.
• Junior Tiffany Cao made two birdies in her opening round and shot a four-over-par 76.
