The Longhorns return to action on Jan. 27-29 at the Southwestern Invitational in California.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Men's Golf team is ranked No. 5 in the final Fall 2024 Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches poll, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Friday.
The Longhorns, who were tabbed No. 8 in the preseason Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches poll, competed in four events during the fall 2024 semester. Texas placed third in the 15-team Folds of Honor Collegiate (Sept. 9-11) to open the season in Grand Haven, Mich. The Longhorns followed with a fifth-place result in the 15-team OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational (Sept. 20-21) in Olympia Fields, Ill., before claiming a runner-up finish in the 15-team Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) in Fort Worth. Texas concluded the fall with a 2-0-1 mark at the NB3 Matchplay (Oct. 8-9) in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M.
The Longhorns begin the spring season with an appearance at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif. on Jan. 27-29.
