Longhorn Nation,
Well folks, YOU CAN LIGHT THE TOWER ORANGE as history was made on Sunday when Soccer claimed our FIRST-EVER SEC Championship! Coach Kelly and our Longhorns made a thrilling stampede through the SEC Tournament, knocking off three teams in six days, culminating in a heart-pumping 1-0 triumph over South Carolina on Sunday. That win secured the crown and let us raise that SEC Tourney championship trophy high for all to see. I must say, teamwork makes the dream work, and that was on full display in a phenomenal title-clinching connection from Lexi Missimo to Carly Montgomery for the winning goal! Talk about using your head, and how about our shot-stopper extraordinaire Mia Justus stealing the show the show and protecting our goal oh-so-well en route to earning well-deserved tourney MVP honors. Now it's on to the NCAA Tourney and on Monday we were announced as a number 4 seed, kicking things off right here at Mike A. Myers Stadium against Boston University on Friday at 6 p.m. CT! Can't wait to see everyone there!!

Soccer's title capped a phenomenal weekend on Sunday, one day after it was an ALL GAS, NO BRAKES Saturday afternoon at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium! Our Longhorns' Football prowess was putting in the work for a full-on dominating display of complimentary football in all facets of the game — a performance y'all clearly enjoyed. Y'all brought the energy, cheered loudly and showed your Texas Fight in the stands. On the field like superheroes in Burnt Orange & White, our Longhorns were faster than a speeding bullet (Bond … Isaiah Bond, that is), more powerful than a locomotive and Coach Sark's play designs were niftier than a David Copperfield illusion (that Houdini would be impressed by) my friends! The mighty Quinn was en fuego with a career-high five TD passes, the defense was suffocating and forced three turnovers that we turned into 21 points on our way to a 42-0 lead and WOW, what a joy it was to witness & celebrate from kickoff to the Eyes of Texas!
And speaking of wonderful celebrations, what a thrill it always is to honor our nation's service members, veterans, and their families with our annual Salute to Service Game. It was truly a privilege to pay tribute to them with all of you this weekend and here's hoping everyone took some time to recognize those that dedicated their lives to keeping our country safe and protecting our freedoms with Veterans Day on Monday. Not a day goes by that I'm not grateful for the incredible servicemen and women that protect and serve our great country. And talk about powerful, this video of two Blackhawks and a Chinook helicopter flying over DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in formation … it was SPECTACULAR!

As we continue to move forward, the games in November are the ones they remember. We checked the first one of the month off with the Florida victory on Saturday, so now we surge ahead in this critical month in our quest for a spot in the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff. We are 8-1 (4-1 and one of only three teams with just one loss in the SEC) and sitting at No. 3 in The AP and Coaches Polls with the latest CFP Rankings set to be announced tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT (ESPN). Our Horns are back at work, preparing to hit the road this week as we travel to play in a longtime rivalry that once again features a conference rival in Arkansas on Saturday (11 a.m. CT/ABC). You have to go all the way back to 1991 and the Southwest Conference for the last time we played the Razorbacks in a conference game and as you all know, we have a rich history of games in this series. It will be a hostile environment in Fayetteville for sure, but Coach Sark has led our squad to nine-straight victories in enemy territory so we know we'll be ready — and I'm certain you will too! Get your game-face on, get those Horns Up High and let's help make it a Hook 'Em weekend again!
THANK YOU'S ARE IN ORDER LONGHORN NATION, for getting us off to a great start to the Basketball seasons. We absolutely love and appreciate our hoops fans! Y'all made it a fun Sunday as you brought the energy for Coach Schaefer and Women's Basketball in a 119-47 victory over Southeast Missouri State. Next up, we're back in The Mood to host Lamar on Wednesday (7 p.m. CT/SEC Network+) before heading on the road to face DePaul on Sunday (6:30 p.m. CT/FS1). Meanwhile, fresh off a 90-59 victory over Houston Christian on Friday, Men's Basketball welcomes in Chicago State tonight (7 p.m. CT/SEC Network+) and Mississippi Valley State on Saturday (4 p.m. CT/ SEC Network+). Come on out and cheer on your Horns!
good to see y'all @TheCorralUT 🤘#HookEm pic.twitter.com/rNo2oIB2hy

After securing a bounce-back win at Mississippi State last Wednesday, Coach Elliott and Volleyball got a nice little one-week-plus break for some rest and recovery before getting back on the road to continue a four-match road swing. This week it's a trip to Alabama to face Auburn on Friday (6:30 p.m. CT/SEC Network+) and a nationally televised match against the Crimson Tide on Sunday (Noon CT/ESPN). It will be an important week for our two-time defending National Champion Longhorns who are fighting for the spot atop the SEC standings. It's Road Warrior time ladies, LET'S GO!
There's so much more going on, too as defending National Champs Rowing got their season underway at Waco Rowing Regatta on Sunday. Our Men's and Women's Cross Country squads race for a spot in the NCAA Championship field at the NCAA South Central Regional in College Station on Friday. And we host the annual Texas Diving Invitational this weekend as well.

And one more emphatic shoutout and Hook 'Em, Horns on this Veterans Day week before we get to all the notes. I've got to give a huge high-five to our Longhorn Legend and Great American Nate Boyer, who is such a vital member of the DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium Veterans Committee that spearheads this week's Salute to Service events. Nate, we love you, appreciate all you do and thanks for being our special guest on Longhorn Weekly with Coach Sark. Most importantly, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, my friend! You epitomize the pride and winning tradition of The University of Texas in every way!!
You've got to check this one out with special guest @NateBoyer37 & his inspirational story as we head into our Salute to Service Game! Longhorn Weekly w/Coach Sark airs tonight on @am1300thezone & LRN (7 pm CT). It's available Fri on @LonghornNetwork & Fri/Sat in Austin (KBVO)🤘🏻 pic.twitter.com/ZmBYafvlvs

Football foils Florida's return to Austin
Folks, you couldn't have painted a more picturesque Saturday morning on the 40 Acres than what we had for the Florida Gators' first trip to Austin in 85 years! The sun was glistening off the sea of Burnt Orange in the stands, while Coach Sark and our lads were putting on a clinic of how to play complimentary football, coming away with their eighth win of the season, 49-17! The offense was en fuego and the defense was creating havoc, especially just before and just after halftime in a stretch that sparked a 42-0 lead at one point. Whoa! Quinn was flinging the rock all over the place with FIVE touchdowns that were all over 22 yards and AVERAGED 33.4 yards per score. That's some long ball worthy of being over at the Disch! And oh, by the way, he did it in just a little over a half before getting some well-earned rest. Ten different players caught his 19 completions, and four different receivers pulled in those five TDs with Golden(eye) leading the way with two, 007 had one, and so did Quintrevion and Gunnar. But that's not all, the ground game was delivering, too, with Blue and young Jerrick Gibson finding the end zone that way. All in all, the offense behind that awesome line passed for 352 yards and rushed for 210. Meanwhile, a number of those scores were courtesy of fantastic field position provided by the defense. How about big Alfred Collins in the middle, getting in the way of everything the Florida offense was trying to do? You might not have noticed during the game, but he had a hand (literally) in all three turnovers by the D – he was in on the tackle that produced the forced fumble by Anthony Hill, and he tipped both passes that were picked off by Andrew Mukuba and Ty'Anthony Smith. How about that? Meanwhile, Trey Moore picked up that fumble and rumbled with it, and he caused another that Florida, got back, but what a day for him! In all, the Gators were held under 330 total yards for the game and had just 138 at halftime. Yes sir, our Horns were a movin' and a groovin' and puttin' on a show that made us all proud. Now it's back to the road to once again reignite an old SWC rivalry as we head to Fayetteville to face the Razorbacks! We need as many of you as can make the 530-mile jaunt to bring that Burnt Orange contrast to all the red for another morning match-up (11 a.m. CT/ABC)! But if you can't be there in person, get your Horns up wherever you are and let them hear you in hills of Arkansas!

Men's Basketball hosts pair of games in The Mood this week!
It was so great to be back in The Mood with Longhorn Nation on Friday night. The Corral was rockin' an hour before tipoff, RT and the guys were locked in and Moody Center was en fuego all night long, and the end result was an impressive 90-59 home-opening win over Houston Christian. Longhorn Nation, you need to get out and see Tre Johnson in person. The SEC Freshman of the Week (very well-deserved, Tre) delivered 28 points while knocking down 11-of-18 field goals, including 5-of-8 from downtown, and even tossed in a few nice dimes like this one to the high-flying Chendall Weaver. This team's depth was definitely on display, as six Longhorns scored in double figures. And I've got to give a shoutout to Arthur Kaluma for his double-double (15 points and 10 boards). The best news is that you get to come out twice this week to cheer on the Longhorns in Moody Center. First up, the guys are back on the court against Chicago State later tonight (7 p.m. CT/SEC Network+). Then, for those of you here in the ATX who can't make it up to Fayetteville, make it a Saturday doubleheader by watching Football at 11 a.m. before heading over to The Mood to catch RT and the guys on the court at 4 p.m. CT (SEC Network+).

Women's Basketball tips off the season in style with dominant home victory!
Our No. 4 Women's Basketball team opened its season on Sunday with an impressive 119-47 victory over Southeast Missouri State, and I'm telling you these ladies are fun to watch! We're talking great shooting, no-look passes and lock-down defense, and you need to get in The Mood and see them play. How cool was it to see Rori Harmon back on the court doing her thing? Coach Schaefer certainly has some quality depth on this team as six players scored in double figures, including All-American Madison Booker who stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 11 rebounds AND six assists. Freshman Bryanna Preston is definitely one to keep your eyes on, as she has great energy and is super quick. Our Longhorns are back in Moody Center against Lamar on Wednesday (7 p.m. CT/SEC Network+), so get your tickets and cheer on this group to another win. Then it's on the road for a game at DePaul on Sunday (6:30 p.m. CT/FS1).

Soccer claims Texas' first SEC Championship!
Everyone says action speaks louder than words. Well, what action talks LOUDER than hoisting our school's first-ever SEC Championship trophy! Coach Kelly and our ladies showed incredible grit, determination and good 'ole Texas FIGHT during last week's SEC Tournament as our Longhorns knocked off LSU, No. 5 Arkansas AND No. 14 South Carolina over a six-day span to bring the first – of many … MANY – SEC Championships HOME to the Forty Acres. To echo what Lapo said following her game-winning goal in double overtime against Arkansas: Why not Texas? Talk about a special group of ladies! From tournament MVP Mia Justus, who had two clean sheets and a career-high 14 saves in the win over Arkansas, to Holly Ward having a brace to start the week and all the way to Carly Montgomery, who scored the game-winning goal on that beautiful header to beat those Gamecocks. Now we turn the page and get the real party started. Just 24 hours after celebrating the sixth conference championship in program history, our Longhorns were selected as a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament and we'll host Boston University on Friday night (6 p.m. CT/TV TBA). Get your tickets now, make Mike A. Myers Stadium the place-to-be and do your part to help our Longhorns survive-and-advance as we get our NCAA tourney run started!

Volleyball bounces back with road win at Mississippi State
Coach Elliott and our ladies claimed a big bounce-back win last week at Mississippi State. Madisen Skinner was outstanding, leading the team with 25 kills while hitting .408 in the match. After a week-plus break, the road stretch continues for the Longhorns as they head to the state of Alabama for two matches this weekend. Texas faces Auburn on Friday night (6:30 p.m. CT/SECN+) before heading to Tuscaloosa for a nationally televised match against the Crimson Tide on Sunday afternoon (12 p.m. CT/ESPN).
