No. 24 Men's Cross Country finishes fourth at Cowboy Jamboree

Isaac Alonzo was Texas' top finisher in the 8K.
STILLWATER, Okla. – The No. 24 men's cross country program finished fourth at the 2024 Cowboy Jamboree scoring 116 points.
The Longhorn men were led by senior Isaac Alonzo who finished the 8K seventh overall with his time of 23:45.5. He moved up two positions in the final 1000 kilometers to finish with his second-fastest 8K time of his career.
Junior Emmanuel Sgouros finished 27th with his time of 24:34.9, while EJ Rush made his second appearance as a Longhorn and was 29th with a time of 24:40.5. Junior Hudson Heikkinen was the next Longhorn to cross the finish line in 24:49.1.
Sophomore Jack Boyd was 35th overall with his personal best time of 24:57.7. Nigusom Knight was through the 8K in 25:02.3 and Hudson Bennett was the final scorer for Texas finishing 44th with his time of 25:13.1.
The Longhorns finished behind No. 1Oklahoma State (19), No. 8 New Mexico (45) and No. 22 Oregon (89).
The men will compete in Madison, Wi., on Oct. 19 at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.
