Women’s Tennis preview: NCAA Singles Championships

Sophomore Carmen Herea will begin play on November 18 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
Orlando, Fla. – Texas Women's Tennis will have sophomore Carmen Herea competing in the 2025-26 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championships, which will begin on Tuesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
Herea, who was ranked No. 21 in the pre-fall rankings, was awarded the 2 seed in the tournament and will begin play on Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT against No. 38 Anna Zyryanova of NC State.
Herea had qualified for the championships by being a finalist at the ITA All-American Championships earlier this fall.
The NCAA singles and doubles competition will be conducted November 18-23. This will be the second year the individual championships will be played in the fall after having previously been played in May following the team championships.
