Track and Field preview: SEC Indoor Championships

Longhorns compete at first SEC TF Championships against 17 ranked opponents.
AUSTIN, Texas – The stage is set for the SEC Indoor Championships as Texas track and field travels to College Station and will compete at the Fasken Indoor Facility for its first SEC Track and Field Championship.
Of the 17 programs in the SEC, eight men's programs and nine women's programs are ranked in the top 25. The Arkansas Razorbacks are ranked No. 1 on both sides.

NOTES:
- Kelsey Daniel holds the second-best jump in the country in the men's long jump with his mark of 8.03m (26-4.25). He moved to No. 2 on the UT All-Time Performer List behind Marquise Goodwin.
- Nina Ndubuisi has improved her spot at No. 2 for shot put two competitions in a row and ranks seventh in the NCAA, second in the SEC, with a throw of 18.25m (60-2.5).
- Eva Jess broke the women's 5000-meter program record with a time of 15:44.48. She's knocked 30 seconds off her personal best in one season.
- The women's 4x400-meter relay holds the 14th-fastest time in the NCAA this year at 3:30.36.
- Sam Hurley also holds the No. 2 mark in the indoor pole vault after clearing 5.52m (18-1.25) one month ago.
CONFERENCE TIES
- Head coach Edrick Floréal returns to the SEC after six years. While at Kentucky, Flo coached 37 individual SEC Champions, 12 NCAA event champions and 142 All-America honors.
- While at Texas, Coach Flo has led Texas to 15 conference titles in six seasons, including seven indoor. Last season, the Longhorn women took home its fifth indoor Big 12 title under Flo.
