No. 7 Women’s Golf leads Betsy Rawls Invitational after opening day

Cindy Hsu carded a two-round score of 3-under 141 on Monday and holds a three-stroke lead in the individual standings.
AUSTIN, Texas — Led by junior Cindy Hsu, who is at the top of the individual leaderboard, the No. 7 Texas women's golf team leads the field at the Betsy Rawls Invitational at The University of Texas Golf Club after the opening day on Monday.
The Longhorns were the only team to shoot under par over the first 18 holes as they fired a 2-under and came back with a 9-over par in the afternoon for the second 18 holes. Texas is 7-over for the tournament and has a 12-stroke lead over No. 13 LSU at 19-over and No. 2 Arkansas in third at 22-over.
Cindy Hsu carded a 2-under 70 in the first round and 1-under 71 for the second 18 holes. Hsu is at 3-under for the tournament and has a three stroke lead over the next competitor.
All four of the Texas counting scores over the 36 holes are in the top-10 on the individual leaderboard. Lauren Kim is in seventh at 2-over, Farah O'Keefe is eighth at 3-over and Angela Heo is ninth at 5-over.
All teams played 36 holes on Monday and will conclude the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday. Texas will play tomorrow with LSU and Arkansas and will tee off at XX.
The Lineup
Cindy Hsu birdied holes 17 and 18 to a shoot 2-under for the first round. Hsu came back with five birdies in the second 18 holes and carded a 1-under 71.
Lauren Kim made five birdies in the first round and carded a score of even par. In the second 18 holes Kim shot 2-over 74 with three birdies on her scorecard.
Farah O'Keefe made eagle on the par-4, seventh hole on the way to shooting even par for the opening 18 holes. O'Keefe made a pair of birdies on her scorecard for the second round.
Angela Heo carded two birdies and shot even par for the opening round. Heo is ninth on the individual leaderboard.
Selina Liao opened with a 7-over 79 with a pair of birdies in the opening round.
