No. 10 Beach Volleyball takes down No. 2 LMU and No. 11 Arizona State

The Longhorns earn three top-13 wins at home at East vs. West.
AUSTIN, Texas - No. 10 Texas Beach Volleyball completed the second day of the East vs. West Invitational defeating No. 2 LMU and No. 11 Arizona State. Texas moved to 7-1 at home and 16-5 for the 2025 season.
The Longhorns started the day upsetting the No. 2 Lions, 3-2 before defeating the No. 11 Sun Devils, 4-1, entering a sixth match point on the No. 1 court.
Texas opened the first dual, 2-0 with a 21-18, 21-15 win from the No. 2 pair (Emma Grace Robertson/Katie Hashman) followed by a 23-21, 21-18 from the No. 4 pair (Macey Butler/Noa Sonneville). The Lions scored the following two points against the No. 3 (Karin Zolnercikova/Maddison Parmelly) and No. 5 (Carys Patton/Vivian Johnson) pairs, 21-17, 21-18 and 21-16, 21-18. In a three set battle, the Longhorns secured the upset over LMU with a 15-21, 21-18, 15-12 victory from the No. 1 pair of Chloe Charles and Eva Liisa Kuivonen.
Robertson and Hashman (No. 2) started the dual with a 21-16, 21-18 win. The Sun Devils tied up the match with a win against the No. 4 pair (Butler/Sonneville), 17-21, 21-18, 17-15. The No. 5 pair (Ava Patton/Kylie Wickley) added a 21-14, 21-19 win followed by a 21-13, 17-21, 15-9 win from the No. 3 pair (Zolnercikova/Parmelly). After six match points, the No. 1 pair of Charles and Kuivonen completed the dual for the Longhorns with a 21-16, 16-12, 23-21 win.
Three Longhorn pairs went 3-1 for the weekend including Charles and Kuivonen (No. 1), Robertson and Hashman (No. 2), and Butler and Sonneville (No.4).
Up next, the Longhorns head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to compete in the Death Volley Invitational on March 28-29 to face Stanford, Long Beach State, UCLA, and USC.
