FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Texas Men's Swimming and Diving program claimed the 2025 NCAA National Championship Saturday night at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. It's the program's 16th NCAA title and its first under first-year head coach Bob Bowman.
The Longhorns concluded the four-day meet with 490 points, beating out second-place California, who tallied 471 points, followed by third-place Indiana (459), fourth-place Florida (315), fifth-place Tennessee (266.5), sixth-place Arizona State (248), seventh-place Georgia (238.5), eighth-place Stanford (216), ninth-place NC State (178) and 10th-place Virginia Tech (107.5).
This marked the first team national championship for The University of Texas during the 2024-25 academic year. Texas now owns 67 all-time National Championships, including 63 NCAA crowns. It also marks the 10th-straight full academic year (not including the 2019-20 season that was cut short due to COVID-19) that the Longhorns have claimed a NCAA team title.
With the 2025 national crown under his belt, Texas head coach Bob Bowman becomes the first NCAA Men's Division I Swimming and Diving head coach to win National Championships in back-to-back years with two different teams.

Freshman Jacob Welsh kicked off Saturday's finals session with a 12th-place finish in the platform, totaling 367.30 points to haul in an Honorable Mention All-America honor. On Friday, Welsh finished fourth overall in the 3-meter to be named an All-American for the first time in his career.
Sophomore Rex Maurer continued to build upon his sensational week, finishing runner-up in the 1,650 freestyle in 14:25.22. Senior David Johnson, the 2025 SEC Champion in the event, placed seventh in 14:30.48.
Sophomore Hubert Kós became the only student-athlete at this year's meet to bring home a title in all three individual events. Kós destroyed every record in the books, obliterating the NCAA record in the 200 back en route to his third individual crown. Kós' swim of 1:34.21 was more than a second faster than the previous record of 1:35.37, which was set by Cal's Destin Lasco at last year's NCAA meet. Sophomore Will Modglin took home his fifth All-American honor after finishing 8th in 1:39.53.
Senior Chris Guiliano ripped a program-record 40.53 in the 100 free to finish fifth, lowering his own school record. Senior Luke Hobson finished ninth in the 100 free in 41.31.
Sophomore Nate Germonprez won the 200 breast B final and finished ninth overall in 1:49.71. Sophomore Will Scholtz also registered a 16th-place finish in 1:52.56.
Freshman Cooper Lucas was named an Honorable Mention All-American in the 200 fly after snaring a 16th-place finish in 1:41.16.
