Men’s Golf moves to No. 1 in Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches poll

The Longhorns return to action on April 14-15 at The Ford Collegiate in Georgia.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Men's Golf team has climbed to the No. 1 spot in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches poll, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Friday morning. The Longhorns are currently ranked No. 2 in the latest Scoreboard powered by Clippd poll (April 9).
Texas has claimed four team titles and eight top-three finishes in its first nine stroke-play events of the 2024-25 season. The Longhorns have been even more impressive this spring with four team wins, a runner-up finish and a third-place showing in their first six tournaments.
UT earned team championships at the Southwestern Invitational (Jan. 27-29), The Hayt (Mar. 8-10) and the Valspar Collegiate Invitational (Mar. 24-25) and shared the team title at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational (April 5-6), finished runner-up at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) and Pauma Valley Invitational (Mar. 17-18) and placed third at the Folds of Honor Collegiate (Sept. 9-11) and Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 6-8). In addition, Texas placed second at the four-team NB3 Match Play in October.
The Longhorns are back on the course at The Ford Collegiate on April 14-15 (Monday-Tuesday) at the Ford Field & River Club in Richmond Hill, Ga.
