Texas Head Coach Laura Ianello
On advancing to match play
"I said, step one was getting to match play and now we gotta go to battle. It looks like it's gonna be up against a really good Oregon team tomorrow. You know, Lauren Kim has really shown a huge leadership role this week with finishing the top-15. And honestly, we're just getting started. I think today we started to see what we wanted coming here with some putts dropping. It's match play the next two days, so anything can happen and we're just really pumped."
On getting this far in the tournament
"It's pretty amazing. I inherited the most amazing group of young women. The talent is there. They are just as talented as any team in this country, and I've just been making sure that that has been the communication to them. That's not just my belief in them, but their own self-belief. And they work so hard day in and day out and we really get to make it shine. Texas is the best place, the best university, and I'm just so blessed and honored to be here with this group of women."
