Texas became first team to win SEC in inaugural campaign in league since 1933
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas baseball team and the Southeastern Conference announced the Longhorns' league schedule for the 2026 season on Tuesday afternoon.
Defending regular season champions Texas will begin its 30-game conference schedule with a weekend set against Ole Miss from March 13-15 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns' other four SEC home series are versus Oklahoma (March 27-29), Alabama (April 17-19), Mississippi State (May 1-3) and Missouri (May 14-16).
Texas' road series includes trips to Auburn (March 20-22), South Carolina (April 2-4), Texas A&M (April 10-12), Vanderbilt (April 24-26) and Tennessee (May 8-10).
The SEC Baseball Tournament returns to Hoover Met Stadium and will be held from May 19-24. All 16 SEC teams will compete in a single-elimination format.
The Longhorns were among the record 13 SEC programs that earned NCAA Tournament bids in 2025, with a record-tying eight SEC teams selected as NCAA Regional hosts.
In its first season under head coach Jim Schlossnagle, Texas posted its best record in 15 years, finishing with a 44-14 mark. The Longhorns became the first team to win the SEC in their inaugural campaign in the league since 1933.
