This marked the Longhorns' third team championship during the 2025-26 season, as UT previously won the title at the Arizona N.I.T. (Jan. 26-27) and shared the crown at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 29-30).
The Longhorns concluded the tournament with a 54-hole total of 43-under 797 (264-266-267). No. 1 Auburn finished second at 32-under 808 (268-269-271), while No. 7 LSU placed third at 14-under 826 (271-280-275). Texas set a program record for lowest 54-hole total score with a three-round total of 797. This score eclipsed its previous record of 800 set earlier this spring at the Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 5-7). During Tuesday's final round, the Longhorns counted scores from senior Christiaan Maas (6-under 64, tied his career-low 18-hole score), senior Luke Potter (3-under 67), graduate Matt Comegys (2-under 68) and senior Tommy Morrison (2-under 68) for a team score of 13-under 267.

Both Maas (69-64-64) and Koivun (68-65-64) recorded 54-hole totals of 13-under 197, before Koivun claimed the individual title by defeating Maas with a birdie on the first playoff hole (18th hole). The 6-under 64 by Maas in the final round tied his collegiate career-low 18-hole score that he had accomplished three times previously, including during the second round in this event on Monday afternoon.
All five Longhorns who counted towards the team score finished in the top 15 in the individual standings. Comegys (64-67-68) tied for third with Frankie Harris of South Carolina at 11-under 199, while Potter placed fifth at 9-under 201 (65-69-67). Morrison tied for 12th at 6-under 204 (69-67-68), and sophomore Daniel Bennett tied for 15th at 4-under 206 (66-68-72).
The Ford Collegiate marked the final regular-season event of the 2025-26 season for the Longhorns. Texas will begin postseason play when it competes at the SEC Championship at Saint Simons Island, Ga. The 54-hole stroke-play portion of the SEC Championship is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24. The top eight teams following stroke play will advance to the match-play portion of the championship, which is slated for Saturday, April 25 (quarterfinals and semifinals) and Sunday, April 26 (championship match).
