Texas closes out the regular season hosting the Razorbacks on April 30-May 2 at McCombs Field.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 5 Texas Softball closes out the regular season with a three-game series vs. No. 7 Arkansas on April 30-May 2 at McCombs Field. Thursday's series opener is set for 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network with Matt Schumacker and Amanda Scarborough in the booth. Friday's game two will begin at 2 p.m. CT on SEC Network+, and Saturday's series finale is slated for Noon CT on SEC Network+. Friday and Saturday's games will be called by Lincoln Rose and former Longhorn Bella Dayton.

Notes
- Texas will honor seven seniors on Senior Day prior to Saturday's game. Kaydee Bennett, Ashton Maloney, Victoria Hunter, Reese Atwood, Leighann Goode, Kaiah Altmeyer and Citlaly Gutierrez will all be honored on Senior Day.
- Texas ranks No. 3 in RPI and No. 3 in SOS. Texas is 16-8 against Quad 1 RPI teams. Texas and Oklahoma's 16 wins vs. Quad 1 teams are the most in the country. The Longhorns are 16-8 vs. Quad 1 teams, 9-0 vs. Quad 2 teams, 3-0 vs. Quad 3 teams and 7-0 vs. Quad 4 teams. Texas and UCLA are the only teams in the RPI Top 10 to not lose to non-Quad 1 teams.
- Junior first baseman Katie Stewart set the program's single-season home run record after hitting her 24th at Kentucky on April 26. Stewart surpassed the previous record of 23 which was set last season by Reese Atwood.
- Against Oklahoma on April 10, junior RHP Teagan Kavan became the sixth player in program history to eclipse 500 career strikeouts. Kavan, who currently has 530 career strikeouts, joins Cat Osterman (2,265), Blaire Luna (1,428), Meagan Denny (988), Christa Williams (678) and Tiarra Davis (508) as the only players in program history to reach 500 career Ks. Kavan's 530 career strikeouts rank fifth in program history.
- Texas remains in the top-10 across all four major polls this week in ESPN.com/USA Softball, NFCA, D1Softball and Softball America. Texas has been ranked in 71-consecutive NFCA Coaches polls.
- Juniors Katie Stewart and Teagan Kavan were named top 25 finalists for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Yera Award on April 29. Kavan has been a finalist for the award in back-to-back years.
- Texas has accumulated 18 run-rule victories this season, including four in league play. Texas set a program record with 23 run-rule wins in 2025.
Series History
- Texas and Arkansas meet for the 10th time in history on Thursday. Texas leads the all-time series, 8-1.
- Texas and Arkansas will face each other for the first time since the 2022 Fayetteville Super Regional. Arkansas won the first game, 7-0, but Texas took game two, 3-1, and the third game, 3-0, to advance to the WCWS.
- Texas will clash with Arkansas in Austin for the first time since 2016. Texas and Arkansas played twice with UT winning both games.
- It'll be just the third time the two teams have played each other in Austin. Texas is 2-0 vs. Arkansas in Austin.
- Head coaches Mike White and Courtney Deifel will face each other for the fourth time on Thursday.

Texas head coach Mike White's .787 career win percentage is the fourth-highest amongst NCAA DI active head coaches.

- Following their 6-3 (8 innings) win at No. 13 Georgia on April 20, Texas' seven-straight extra-inning wins ties for the longest active streak in DI Softball.
