No. 4 Men’s Golf earns No. 1 seed in NCAA Bryan Regional

BRYAN, Texas — The No. 4 University of Texas Men's Golf team is the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Bryan Regional, the NCAA and Golf Channel announced during its Selection Show on Wednesday afternoon. The Longhorns will be one of 14 teams to compete at Traditions Club from Monday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 20.
The 54-hole tournament will also feature five individual players. The top five teams and the low individual not on those five qualifying teams at the Bryan Regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, scheduled for May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Bryan Regional field includes (in seed order with Scoreboard powered by Clippd rankings in parentheses): TEXAS (4), North Carolina (9), Tennessee (16), New Mexico (21), Texas A&M (27), TCU (34), UNCW (40), UNLV (45), Colorado (54), Cincinnati (58), Chattanooga (66), Miami Ohio (113), UTRGV (132) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (294). Pairings and tee times for the Bryan Regional will be announced later.
Eighty-one teams and 45 individuals will compete in six NCAA regional championship sites across the country. Three of the regionals will host 13 teams and 10 individuals, while the other three will feature 14 teams and five individuals apiece.
Texas enters the NCAA Regionals with a streak of 18 consecutive NCAA Championship appearances, the longest current streak in NCAA Division I men's golf. The Longhorns have claimed four national titles in program history, having won the team championship in 1971, 1972, 2012 and 2022.
Texas has claimed three team titles and nine top-three finishes in its first 12 stroke-play events of the 2025-26 season. The Longhorns shared the team crown at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 29-30), claimed the championship at the Arizona N.I.T. (Jan. 26-27) and won the team title at The Ford Collegiate (April 13-14). UT also recorded runner-up efforts at the Sahalee Players Championship (Sept. 6-7), The Williams Cup (Oct. 19-21) and the Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 5-7).
Texas has been on a serious roll with its scoring numbers this spring. During their seven tournaments in the spring season to date, the Longhorns have posted a combined TEAM score of 231-under par. This stretch includes the Arizona N.I.T. (41-under), Amer Ari Invitational (64-under), Southern Highlands Collegiate (1-under), The Desimone Invitational (18-under), Valspar Collegiate Invitational (34-under), The Ford Collegiate (43-under) and the SEC Championship (30-under).
