OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Competed in three meets … made her collegiate indoor debut at the Leonard Hilton Invitational … placed fifth individually in the 400m (58.96) … helped UT take second in the 4x400m and win the DMR … raced in the 800m and 4x400m at the Razorback Invitational … posted a collegiate-best 800m time (2:14.80) at the Husky Classic.
CROSS COUNTRY: Raced four times … made her collegiate debut at the Bear Twilight, finishing 14th overall on the 4K course (14:16.2) … placed 12th at the Texas Invitational … clocked 19:07.8 on the 5K course … finished fourth overall at the Concordia Cross Country Classic, finishing the 6K meet in 24:00.5 … slashed one minute off her 6K time at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, finishing in 23:00.2.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times in cross country and track … also lettered twice in cheerleading … named the 2018 and 2019 El Paso Track Athlete of the Year … earned all-state recognition on three occasions (2017-19) … named to Texas Cross Country’s ‘Elite 15’ in 2018 … competed at the USATF Junior Nationals in 2016 … competed at the Nike Cross Regionals in 2018.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Damon and Jennifer Darakjy … has one brother, Jerald, and one sister, Jasmine … the first member of her family to attend The University of Texas … father, Damon, ran cross country and track at North Idaho … was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina … participated in cheerleading and gymnastics before committing to running … majoring in psychology … enjoys traveling and paddle boarding.
