AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2022)
Hit two homers against Oklahoma State (4/29)…went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI against UTRGV (4/5)…went 3-for-3 against Texas Tech with a homer and two runs (3/27)...went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored against Incarnate Word (3/18)...went 2-for-5 scoring two runs, earning two RBI and hit his first home run of the season against Sam Houston (3/1)...had first triple of the season and drove in two runs against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/24).
AT KANSAS (2018-21)
2021 All-Big 12 Second Team honoree…2021 Academic All-Big 12 Baseball First Team…started 56 games and led the Jayhawks in batting average (.324), games played (56), games started (56), at bats (213), runs (43), hits (69), doubles (19), RBI (39) and slugging percentage (.460)…19 doubles were tied for 12th in the NCAA at the end of the regular season…led KU with 20 multiple-hit games and 10 multiple-RBI games...also 2019 Academic All-Big 12 First Team…in his Kansas career, played in 186 games and batted .280 with 46 doubles, six triples and six homers.

Four-year letterwinner for head coach Craig McBride at Niwot High School…batted .484 with eight doubles, four triples, four home runs and 21 RBIs in 19 games his senior year…two-time all-conference honoree his freshman and junior years…Northern Conference Player of the Year his senior campaign…Academic All-State his junior and senior years.
PERSONAL
Son of Cary and Barbara Messinger…has one brother, Connor…brother played four years of collegiate baseball splitting evenly between Omaha and Nebraska-Kearney…grandfather, Tom Messinger, played golf and hockey at Michigan…drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 22nd round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
