AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2022)
Went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and five RBI against Baylor (4/22)...went 3-for-5 with one double, one homer and three runs batted in against Air Force (4/20)…went 2-for-4 against Texas A&M with two homers and three RBI (3/29)...had a two run homer against The Citadel (3/16)...had a 2-for-3 at bat with a three run homer against Texas State (3/8)...went 2-for-3 with an RBI home run against Tennessee (3/4)…hit first career triple during the season opener against Rice (2/18).
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2021)
Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection, starting 66 games at shortstop…fielded .968 and led the Big 12 with 203 assists, and turned 40 double plays…batted .249 and was second on the team with 18 doubles and tied for fifth with five homers…drove in 37 runs and finished third on the team with 51 runs scored…finished fourth on the team with seven stolen bases…had 14 multiple-hit games and 10 multiple-RBI games, including two run-RBI games…had an 11-game hitting streak at one point during the season…went 2-for-3 with a homer, two runs scored and four RBI at Texas State (3/3)…went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI in series finale at Houston (3/7)…drove in three runs in series finale against Texas Tech (5/2)…hit doubles and scored two runs at TCU (5/9)…went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored against USF in the Super Regional (6/13).
AS A FRESHMAN (2020)
Started all 17 games at shortstop during true freshman season...batted .259 with seven RBI and 12 runs scored...hit one home run and three doubles...had at least one hit in 13-of-17 games...had a six-game hitting streak from Feb. 14-Feb. 21 and also had an eight-game reached base streak during the year...committed just two errors in 77 total chances and contributed to six of the team's seven double plays turned...went 2-for-4 with a double one RBI and two runs scored against Cal State Fullerton on March 8…went 1-for-2 with two runs against Lamar on Feb. 19…had a RBI double at Rice on Feb. 16…had first career stolen base at Rice on Feb. 15…first career hit was also his first career home run at Rice on Feb.14.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year starter at William B. Travis under head coach Rodney Hernandez…played all nine positions in high school…first team All-District player and his team’s Pitcher of the Year as a senior…was the team’s MVP as a junior…was the 2017 Area Code Pitcher of the Year…named first team All-State as a sophomore…has competed on several occasions for USA Baseball and competed in the States Play Series in 2018…member of the USA Baseball 18U National Team, that took home gold in the 2018 COPABE U-18 Pan-American Championship
PERSONAL
Son of Sanson Faltine and Edith Lerma…has three younger brothers, Jordan, Jacob, and Roman…participates in Lunches of Love (LOL) community service organization, that helps give kids who’s parents may not be home to feed them lunches on weekends and throughout the summer…selected by the Boston Red Sox (39th round) in the 2019 MLB Draft.
