AS A SOPHOMORE (2020)
Played in four games with one start during shortened season...named first team Academic All-Big 12...walked four times and struck out just once...started against Missouri and walked twice, scoring one run.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
Starting second baseman, with 40 starts and 48 total games played as a true freshman...All-Big 12 honorable mention...finished the season batting .255 with four doubles and two home runs...drove in 19 runs and scored 26...drove in two runs in the season finale against Oklahoma on May 17...had a huge day at the plate on April 28 against West Virginia, going 3-for-5 with six RBI and three runs scored...against WVU on April 28, hit two home runs including a grand slam…had three hits and three runs at Oklahoma State on April 20…went 2-for-3 with a run at Oklahoma State on April 19…went 2-for-4 with a double and a season high four RBI at Baylor on April 6…had two hits and a run against Baylor on April 5…went 2-for-3 with a run and one RBI during the win against Xavier on March 31…had a six-game hit streak between March 20-29…during that span he went 2-for-4 with a double against Incarnate Word on March 26 and went 2-for-3 with two runs in the win against TCU on March 23…against Texas Southern on March 12 he went 2-for-4 with a season high three runs…first career hit was at Louisiana on Feb. 16 where he went 2-for-2 with a RBI double and run.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letter-winner and starter at Tivy High School under head coach Chris Russ…named a a Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason All-American as a senior…as a junior, was named All-District and All-State and earned All-District honors as a sophomore…also lettered in football as a quarterback during his sophomore and junior seasons at Tivy.
