• Led $59 million capital construction project of UT athletics facilities during the 1970s, including basketball arena, baseball stadium, swimming & diving center, and upper deck expansion of football stadium
• Frank C. Erwin, Jr. Special Events Center is named in his honor
• Founder of Longhorn Club, which he helped expand to a state-wide athletics booster organization
• Honorary member of UT lettermen[apos]s T Association
