• Entered UT in 1961 and was a two-way starter for the Longhorns on teams that posted a 30-2-1 record from 1962-64
• Was an All-Southwest Conference end in 1963
• Honored by the SWC Letterman[apos]s Association as Letterman of the Year in 1964
• Earned First-Team All-SWC Academic team in 1963 and 1964, as well as a Second-Team Academic All-American in 1964
• Named one of the top 10 students in the UT School of Business and after graduating he entered UT Law School
• Continued to give back to the Longhorns by serving on the Longhorn Hall of Honor Council
