AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2022)
Hit a three run homer against Baylor (4/22)...went 2-for-4 with two home runs against Oklahoma (4/2)...hit a grand slam against The Citadel (3/16)...went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI, and three runs against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/23)…went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in the season opener against Rice (2/18).
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2021)
Honorable Mention All-Big 12…started 53 games behind the plate and played in 60 of 67 games…did not commit an error throughout the season and threw out 20 runners caught stealing on 48 attempts…batted .239 with nine doubles, one triple and one homer…drove in 33 runs and scored 30 runs…had 13 multiple hit games and was fourth on the team with 10 multiple-RBI games including one five-RBI game…scored the game-winning run on Eric Kennedy’s walk-off double in the Super Regional opener against South Florida.
AS A FRESHMAN (2020)
Split time at catcher during true freshman season, making eight starts and playing in 11 games...batted .241 with fou RBI and seven runs scored...scored two runs and drove in one run against Abilene Christian on March 11...went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs against UTSA on Feb. 18…first career hit was against UTSA on Feb. 18.
HIGH SCHOOL
Louisiana’s first-ever high school Gold Glove winner, being named 2019 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winner at catcher…first team All-State and All-District…member of 5A State Finalist Sam Houston (La.) team under head coach Chad Hebert…team’s defensive player of the year…batted .440 with three home runs and 40 RBI as a senior…four-year letterman at Sam Houston…participated in Area Code Games and in the Future Star Series International Games in 2018…was named All-District catcher in both 2016 and 2017.

Son of Danny and Hope Ardoin…father, Danny, was a fifth-round draft pick by the A's in 1995 and went on to play 15 years of professional baseball, five at the major league level…has two brothers, Drew and Sam, and one sister, Erin…selected by the Colorado Rockies (36th round) in the 2019 MLB Draft
