PRIOR TO TEXAS
Four-year letterwinner in cross-country and track & field at Hockaday under coach Laboris Bean … served as captain of the track and cross country team during her senior season … received all-conference honors for cross country and track each year of high school … posted top-five finishes in all conference competitions, including at 2013 cross country (third), 2012 track (third, 1600m; third, 3200m), 2012 cross country (third), and 2011 track (second, 1600m) … helped Hockaday to consecutive SPC championships as a junior and senior … posted high school personal-best marks of 2:20 in the 800m, 5:07 in the mile, 7:13 in the 2,000m steeplechase, and 18:58 in the 5,000m.

Parents are Michael and Sylvia Hood … sister is Maggie Hood (20), who is currently a junior at UT … was involved in Hockaday’s Student Ambassador Program … member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (fall 2013) ... interested in majoring in either engineering or business.
