• Placed 2nd in the 400m with a time of 52.28 at the Longhorn Invitational. This is the No. 13 time in the NCAA this season.
• Member of the 1st place 4x400m relay team that set a facility record at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 3:30.61
• Finished 3rd in 400m at Big 12 Championships with time of 52.89 seconds

Indoor:
• Runner-up in 400m at NCAA Championships in 51.71 seconds
• Ran leg of 4x400m that also finished second at NCAA meet in school record 3:27.42
• Lost race to Oregon by .02 seconds as the Ducks set the NCAA record
• Big 12 400m champion in meet record time 51.54 seconds

2012-13 (AT ILLINOIS)
Outdoor:
• Defended her 400m title at the NCAA Championships with a personal-best and school record-setting time of 50.28
• The mark was, at the time, the fourth-fastest collegiate time ever and fifth best in the world in 2013 and also made her the No. 4 in-season performer in college history
• Also a first-team All-American as a member of Illinois’ 4x400m relay team that finished fifth at NCAAs and broke the school record with a time of 3:29.28
• Won three Big Ten titles in the 200m, 400m and 4x400m relay
• Was also part of Illinois’ sprint medley, 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams that won Drake Relays titles and helped the Illini capture the first Hy-Vee Cup
• Competed in the 400m hurdles, setting a career-best time of 56.32 at the Sun Angel Classic that stood as the seventh-fastest time among collegians in 2013
• 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Track Athlete of the Championships and 2013 Illinois Dike Eddleman Female Athlete of the Year in addition to earning USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year honors
Indoor:
• Claimed first-team All-America honors with a third-place finish in a personal-best and school-record 51.27 in the 400m at the NCAA Championships
• Earned second-team All-America honors as a member of the 4x400m relay that was ninth in 3:35.30
• Captured Big Ten title in the 200m, 400m and 4x400m relay
• Selected as Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Year and Track Athlete of the Championships
2011-12 (AT ILLINOIS)
Outdoor:
• Claimed IAAF World Junior titles in the 400m (50.50) and as the anchor of the 4x400m relay (3:30.01)
• Won Illinois’ first-ever 400m NCAA title with the fastest time in the country (50.95), also a school record
• Was the first freshman to win the 400m national title since UT’s Sanya Richards (2003)
• Earned first-team All-America honors for the win and an honorable mention nod as a member of the 4x400-meter relay that was disqualified in the prelim at the NCAA Championships
• Won Big 12 championships in the 200m, 400m and as the anchor of the 4x400m relay (3:31.77)
• Named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Championships and Freshman of the Year as well as Illinois’ Female Newcomer of the Year for her efforts
Indoor:
• Earned first team All-America honors with a sixth-place finish (23.34) in the 200m at the NCAA Championships
• Also earned second-team All-America honors as a member of the 4x400-meter relay that finished 11th (3:36.69) at the NCAA meet
• Captured three Big Ten titles in the 200m, 400m and 4x400m relay
• Collected six first-place finishes during the regular season
PRIOR TO ILLINOIS/TEXAS
• Won 12 state titles (seven individual, five team) and set six school records at Lawrence North
• Selected as Ms. Track and Field of Indiana
• State runner-up in the 100m hurdles in both 2010 and 2011, as well as in the 300m hurdles in 2011
• Won the 300m hurdles and 4x400m relay at the Midwest Meet of Champions, also placing third in the 100m hurdles
PERSONAL
• Parents are Rita and Demetrius Spencer
• Has one sister, Ahlivia (21), who competes for the University of Illinois women’s track and field team
• Uncle, Steve Smith, was a three-time NCAA runner-up in the high jump
• Aunt, Le’Gretta (Hinds) Smith, was a two-time All-American in the 400m hurdles at Long Beach State and coached Spencer in high school
• Majoring in applied learning and development with a minor in communication
