Constable, Hudson lead Men's Golf in round one of Southern Highlands Collegiate

LAS VEGAS -- Texas sophomores Donald Constable and Bobby Hudson each shot a four-over 76 to lead the Longhorns Friday in round one of the 15-team Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship at the par 72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Texas sits in 15th place after shooting a 24-over 312 on the day. Clemson leads the 54-hole event with a five-under 283. USC's Matthew Giles, Clemson's Ben Martin, UNLV's Colby Smith and Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale share the individual lead after 18 holes at five-under par.
Constable and Hudson are tied for 40th individually with their scores of four-over par on the day. Junior Charlie Holland shot a six-over 78 on the day and is tied for 58th place. Freshman Dylan Frittelli and junior Lance Lopez each carded a 10-over 82 in round one and are tied for 73rd place.
Round two begins Saturday at 10 a.m. Central.
