- Texas head coach Angela Kelly is within sight of a significant career milestone as the fourth-year skipper needs just ONE WIN to reach the 200-victory plateau and could reach that mark on Wednesday with a win over Kansas in the Big 12 quarterfinal. Kelly now owns an overall mark of 199-113-32 in her 16th-year combined as a head coach at Tennessee and now on the Forty Acres.
- Texas senior goalkeeper Abby Smith and freshman forward Alexa Adams were selected as the Big 12 Conference's Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week on Mon., Nov. 2, respectively. The selections mean that Texas has had at least one player receive a league weekly honor for four of the last five weeks.
- The Longhorns are 13-15-6 in 19 previous appearances in the Big 12 Championship. UT was 0-0-2 last year, tying No. 11 Texas Tech in the quarterfinals (1-1, 2 OT, advanced 6-5 on penalties) and No. 9 West Virginia in the semifinals (0-0, 2OT, eliminated 6-5 on penalties). Texas is 1-1-3 with a pair of semifinal berths during the three years that Angela Kelly has led the program.
- Senior midfielder Chantale Campbell seems to love playing in the Big 12 Championship, having scored for Texas in each of the last two events (2013 vs. Oklahoma State and 2014 vs. No. 11 Texas Tech). She enters this week tied for eight all-time in Longhorns history in Big 12 Championship points with four.
- Texas is 1-0-0 all-time in the Big 12 Championship against Kansas, having beaten the Jayhawks in the semifinals of the 2004 event, 3-2 (2OT). All-time against KU, the Horns boast a commanding 15-4-2 series advantage after winning this season's meeting back on Oct. 2nd in Lawrence, Kan., 2-1. Senior midfielder Lindsey Meyer registered the match-winning goal at 76:43 off an assist from junior midfielder Julia Dyche.
- Freshman forward Alexa Adams enters Wednesday night's match against Kansas having scored at least one point in SIX STRAIGHT MATCHES (14 of her 16 points have occurred over that stretch). That streak is currently good enough for a tie for second all-time in Texas history with Kylie Doniak, Niki Arlitt, Kelly McDonald and Kylee Wosnuck. The program record is nine straight matches set by Kelly Wilson back in 2001. Adams is also currently the top freshman point scorer in the Big 12 Conference with 16 and is tied for the rookie goal lead with Baylor's Lauren Piercy with six scores.
- Redshirt freshman forward Mikayla Flores is on a hot streak of her own having registered points in five of Texas' last six matches (seven of her nine points are over that stretch).
- Senior goalkeeper Abby Smith needs just five more saves to break her career high of 98 stops set during the 2014 campaign. The Plano, Texas, native needs 17 more saves to crack the program single-season top five in the category (would tie Dianna Pfenninger who had 111 stops in 2007).
- Texas has been solid in close matches during the 2015 campaign, holding a 6-2-0 mark in one-goal contests. The Longhorns already own victories in such instances this season over Miami (FL) (1-0), No. 14 UCLA (2-1), Abilene Christian (2-1), Kansas (2-1), Iowa State (2-1) and No. 17 Texas Tech (2-1, 2OT).
