No. 2 Men’s Golf finishes round two in second at NCAA Regional

The Longhorns sit three strokes back going into the final round.
LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 2 Texas Men's Golf finished the second round in second place on Friday at the Rawls Course.
Sophomore Gavin Hall led the Longhorns after making six birdies to finish the day with a 69. He also shot a 69 in round one and is in a tie for sixth with Beau Hossler, who shot a 72 for the second round.
Senior Kramer Hickok followed a first-round 69 with a 71 to finish in a tie for 17th.
Freshman Doug Ghim also carded a score under par with his 70 after making five birdies and four bogeys, while freshman Scottie Scheffler shot a 73.
The Longhorns shot a 282 on the second day for a 13-under par total, sitting three strokes behind leader Texas Tech at 16-under and three strokes ahead of third-place Duke.
The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship in Bradenton, Fla.
Texas will play its third and final round on Saturday, May 16. The Longhorns are scheduled to tee off at 8:45 a.m. with Texas Tech and Duke.
