LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 2 Texas Men's Golf shot a third-round 275 to win the NCAA Lubbock Regional and advance to the NCAA Championship on Saturday at the Rawls Course.

The only other season Texas has won seven or more tournaments was in 2011-12, when the team won eight tournaments, including the National Championship.
Sophomore Gavin Hall posted his second-consecutive top-three finish after carding a 68 after a 69 in the first two rounds to finish third.
Hall has shot under par in six of his last eight rounds.
Sophomore Beau Hossler tied for fourth after shooting a 70. Hossler has not finished outside the top 20 this year.
Freshman Doug Ghim posted his second-best finish of the year with a tie for seventh after carding a 68.
Freshman Scottie Scheffler tied for 11th after shooting a third-round 69, while senior Kramer Hickok carded a 73 to tie for 22nd.

Post-Tournament Comments
Head Coach John Fields
On the win: I'm really proud of our guys. The play that they exhibited over the last three days is representative of our team. The fact that they came in here, played great golf in difficult conditions--no question that winning this regional gives us some momentum going into the national championship. I believe that it reaffirms that we are a really good golf team, but we need a good week and half now to get ready for the championship and try and elevate our game just a little bit more and be ready to go when we get to Florida."
