- Texas enters Sunday's match-up against Abilene Christian with a perfect 5-0-0 all-time record against the Southland Conference. UT will be facing the Wildcats for the first time in program history. UT has already seen ACU this season as the 'Cats won a neutral site match at Mike A. Myers Stadium over UTSA (5-3) back during the Longhorns' home-hosted event over Aug. 28 & 30.
- Entering Sunday's match-up against Abilene Christian at Mike A. Myers Stadium, Texas holds a 10-5-2 record against teams from the "Lone Star State." UT was solid against such foes last season, going 5-1-1 with victories over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, #6 Texas Tech, Baylor and Rice (NCAA). The Longhorns are scheduled to face four Texas opponents this season: Abilene Christian, TCU, Texas Tech and Baylor, and already beat Houston Baptist in a preseason exhibition, 3-0.
- UT senior goalkeeper Abby Smith has certainly been busy so far in 2015 as the Plano, Texas, native currently leads the Big 12 Conference in saves with 38. She also tops the league in saves-per-match at 6.33, a product of Texas' rugged early schedule.
- Last Sunday's victory at No. 14 UCLA marked the first road win over a ranked opponent in head coach Angela Kelly's Texas career. UT had entered the match-up with an 0-4 mark against ranked teams on the road during her time in charge on the Forty Acres. The occurrence also represented the Longhorns' biggest win over any ranked team since knocking off No. 6 Texas Tech in Austin on Sept. 28, 2014, 1-0 (OT).
- Besides goalkeeper Abby Smith, three players always seem to be penciled into the starting lineup. Senior midfielder Lindsey Meyer has started all 69 possible career matches at UT over her career, while junior defender Isabelle Kerr and junior midfielder Julia Dyche have made 29 consecutive starts.
- With 26 shutouts and counting over her illustrious career on the Forty Acres, senior goalkeeper Abby Smith is closing in on breaking the Texas career record for blankings. The Plano, Texas, native needs just FOUR MORE to top former Longhorns net minder Dianna Pfenninger's mark of 29 shutouts established from 2005-08.
