Fields named 2016 Golfweek Coach of the Year

Texas Head Coach John Fields earns his second Coach of the Year honor.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Men's Golf Head Coach John Fields was named the 2016 Golfweek Coach of the Year on Tuesday, Golfweek announced.
The award marks Fields' second to conclude the 2015-16 season after being named the Dave Williams Coach of the Year by the Golf Coaches Association of America on June 5. He was also named Big 12 Coach of the Year for the fourth-straight year on
Fields and Assistant Coach Jean-Paul Hebert coached juniors Beau Hossler and Gavin Hall and sophomores Scottie Scheffler, Doug Ghim and Taylor Funk into seven team wins and a runner-up finish in extra holes at the NCAA Championship after finishing the stroke play portion in first place.
