The Longhorns will open their fall season at Olympia Fields Country Club this weekend.

FIGHTING ILLINI INVITATIONAL
Now in its 11th season, the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational welcomes the nation's top teams to the famed Olympia Fields Country Club. The club is home to several premier events including the 2015 U.S. Amateur. Olympia Fields has hosted two U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships, five Western Opens and a U.S. Senior Open among other high-level tournaments.
Dates of competition: Friday, Sept. 16-Sunday, Sept. 18
Site: Olympia Fields Country Club – Olympia Fields, Ill.
Tournament schedule: 18 holes each day
Tee times: Friday and Saturday – 9 a.m. CT, Sunday – 8 a.m. CT
Par: 70

Notes
- The Longhorns begin their 2016-17 season after losing one player from the five-man lineup in Beau Hossler.
- Senior Gavin Hall and juniors Taylor Funk, Scottie Scheffler and Doug Ghim return after falling to Oregon in the 2016 national championship match.
- Texas also returns junior Kalena Preus and sophomore Steven Chervony and welcomes freshmen Nick Costello, Drew Jones and Parker Sexton.
