An autograph session with current Texas Baseball student-athletes will begin at 9 a.m.
AUSTIN, Texas—Texas Baseball is set to host its Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, February 3 before the annual Alumni Game, scheduled for a 2 p.m. start at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Gates open at 11:30 a.m. with the 2018 players and coaching staff signing autographs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Frank Erwin Center concourse area in front of Section 49. Season schedule posters and a 2018 Texas Baseball pennant provided by UFCU will available for autographs (while supplies last). Due to NCAA compliance issues, outside items may not be brought in for autographs. Any item provided by Texas Athletics is for personal use only and is not intended for sale.
The Texas Baseball alumni are expected to play three innings of the seven-inning contest, with current Texas Baseball players pitching for both sides. The final innings will consist of current Texas Baseball players facing off in intrasquad action. Also note, not all alumni present in uniform at UFCU Disch-Falk Field will participate in gameplay.
Rain or shine, the Longhorns will hold their team autograph session. Stay tuned to TexasSports.com and @TexasBaseball on Twitter for any updates due to inclement weather.
Admission and parking in the East Campus Garage for Saturday's events are free.
The annual Alumni Game is televised by the Longhorn Network beginning at 2 p.m. LHN's Keith Moreland will provide play-by-play and Greg Swindell will be the color analyst.
Texas opens the 2018 regular season at home on Friday, Feb. 16 against Louisiana-Lafayette, the first of three games that weekend.
