- The Longhorns hold a 0-1-1 all-time mark against Friday's opponent Washington, including a 0-0-1 record against the Huskies in Austin (Sept. 27, 2002). The last meeting between the two teams occurred back on Sept. 21, 2003, in Seattle, Wash., a 3-1 UW victory.
- Junior midfielder Haley Berg and senior forward Cyera Hintzen are each off to "helpful" starts to the 2019 campaign. The duo has four assists apiece over the opening five matches (already tied for Berg's career high from 2017) and are tied for the Big 12 lead in both assists and assists-per-match. Each needs just five more assists to enter the Longhorns single-season top 10 list where they would tie five players (one of them Hintzen) for sixth. The all-time Texas record for assists is 14 set by Kelly Wilson back in 2004.
- Berg picked up Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career on Sept. 10 after leading the league last weekend with eight points on three goals and two assists during wins over Stephen F. Austin and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. It's the third time she's received weekly league honors after earning two Big 12 Freshman of the Week awards back in 2017.
- The Longhorns have won their last 17 non-conference regular-season home matches dating back to Sept. 4, 2016, a 1-0 loss to No. 19 California.
- After going just 2-8 in one-goal matches back in 2016, the Longhorns have since turned around their fortunes in such contests by going 19-9 in their last 28 one-goal matches since beginning 2017 (1-1 in 2019).
- Junior midfielder Haley Berg scored the first brace (two-goal game) of her collegiate career during the 3-1 win at SFA (Sept. 6), while freshman forward Teni Akindoju registered her first collegiate goal and match-winner by scoring at the 61:36 mark of the victory over the LadyJacks.
- With her 81st-minute goal during the 4-3 season-opening win over Gonzaga (Aug. 22), senior forward Cyera Hintzen registered her 10th career match-winning score. The Garland, Texas, native now owns 10 match-winners over her 23 career goals, meaning that 43% of the time she's scored, it has been to win a contest.
- Two Longhorns earned national honors following the season-opening, 4-3 win over Gonzaga as sophomore midfielder Julia Grosso (two goals, assist) earned a spot on the 11-member Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, while senior forward Cyera Hintzen (match-winning goal, three assists) received an honorable mention selection to the prestigious squad. The duo combined to score three goals and dish four assists during the victory. For Grosso, the selection was her first, while for Hintzen it was the fifth of her career (two previous nods to the team and two honorable mention selections).
- Senior forward Cyera Hintzen recently received a nod to Top Drawer Soccer's Preseason Best XI Second Team heading into the 2019 campaign. She was one of just nine total forwards to be named nationally to either the TDS first-, second- or third- teams. Hintzen was also ranked No. 19 on Top Drawer Soccer's Preseason National Top 100 that was released on Aug. 21.
- The Longhorns were well represented on this season's MAC Hermann Trophy Preseason Watch List as both senior forward Cyera Hintzen and junior midfielder Haley Berg made the cut for consideration for the prestigious award. Two-time All-American Hintzen secured the program's first Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year award last season after leading the league in assists (nine) and points (29) while rating second in goals (10). Berg is coming off a United Soccer Coaches All-Region and All-Big 12 sophomore season that saw her score six times and dish three assists for 15 points.
- Texas led the league by picking up four selections to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team as senior forward Cyera Hintzen, junior midfielder Haley Berg, sophomore midfielder Julia Grosso and sophomore defender Emma Regan all picked up inclusions. In all, the Longhorns boasted 33% of the 12-member team, marking the second-most selections in UT program history and the program's first time with four nods since 2007.
