Pierceson Coody’s big round highlights day two in Hawaii.

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – The No. 25 Texas men's golf team sits in second place following the second day of the 2020 Amer Ari Invitational at the Waikoloa Kings' Course in Waikoloa, Hawaii on Friday afternoon.

For the second straight day, the team shot a 14-under 274, and now sit at -28 for the tournament. Georgia Tech holds on to first place at -33.

Sophomore Pierceson Coody had a bounce-back performance on Friday, shooting a team-best 6-under after his even performance in round one.

LINE UP AT A GLANCE

Pierceson Coody recorded seven birdies on the day, including five-straight on holes 5-8. He also recorded 10 pars, and moved into a tie for 14^th place.
Cole Hammer sits at -4 after the second round, falling to T22. He went +3 on the day with four birdies, four bogies and triple bogy on 13.
Parker Coody bounced back after his even performance in round one to shoot a 3-under on the second day of action. He recorded five birdies and two bogies. He sits tied for 31.
Travis Vick went 1-under on day two, tallying six birdies and five bogies. Vick sits tied for third most birdies so far in the tournament with 12.
Christoffer Bring had a great second day of play, going 4-under. He sits tied for 17^th after recording four birdies and 14 pars.
Spencer Soosman, competing as an individual over the course of the tournament, currently sits tied for 22^nd. He recorded two birdies and a double bogy.
