No. 4 Men’s Golf concludes play at NCAA Championships

The Longhorns finish in a tie for 25th place in the team standings.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The No. 4 Texas Men's Golf team posted a 22-over-par 302 on Sunday afternoon to finish in a tie for 25th place at the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club. With a 54-hole total of 46-over-par 886 (294-290-302), the Longhorns did not advance as one of the top 15 teams for Monday's final round of stroke play.
Junior Parker Coody posted the best individual round of the day for the Longhorns with a three-over-par 73. Sophomore Travis Vick was the top individual finisher on the team, as he tied for 56th place at eight-over-par 218 (68-70-80).
The Lineup
- Junior Parker Coody carded a three-over-par 73 on Sunday. He registered three birdies during his round (No. 11, par-5; No. 14, par-4; No. 2, par-4).
- Sophomore Mason Nome tallied a four-over-par 74 during the third round. He recorded one birdie (No. 6, par-4) and 13 pars on Sunday.
- Junior Cole Hammer posted a five-over-par 75 on Sunday. He registered three birdies during his round (No. 17, par-4; No. 4, par-5; No. 8, par-3).
- Sophomore Travis Vick and graduate student Hunter Ostrom each tallied a 10-over-par 80 in Sunday's round.
