No. 11 Men's Cross Country places fifth at Nuttycombe Invitational

Devin Hart and Beth Ramos lead Longhorns for second-straight race at Nuttycombe Invitational.
MADISON, Wisc. – The Texas cross country programs were led once again by Devin Hart and Beth Ramos at the 2023 Nuttycombe Invitational in rainy and windy conditions.
The No. 11 men's program was led by Hart for the third-straight race by finishing in 17th place with his time of 23:45.0. Junior Isaac Alonzo placed 46th with his time of 24:06.2, and Rodger Rivera finished in 50th with his time of 24:07.3.
Sophomore Emmanuel Sgouros set a 4.2-second personal best with his time of 24:12.4, while Nathanael Berhane set a 9.5 second PB at 24:23.7. Junior Sam Bass later crossed the finish line at 24:25.0, with Abraham Avila-Martinez next at 24:20.2 and Haftu Knight closing the Longhorn competitors at 25:03.0.
Ramos led the women in the A 6K race and finished 67th with her time of 20:52.2. Eva Jess completed the race in 21:49.6, finishing second for Texas for the second race in a row. Sophomore Elizabeth Pickett was next at 22:19.0, while senior Maddie Hatfield crossed the line at 22:28.5.
Freshman Haley Harper recorded a 37-second personal-best after finishing fifth for Texas at 22:56.1, while Kelsie Vicknair finished at 23:03.5. In her second race, Mackenzie Browne finished with a 23-second PB at 23:32.8. Katarzyna Kwiatkowski finished the competition for Texas in 23:45.8.
Allyson Little led the Texas women in the B 6K race with a 10-second PB with her time of 22:36.10, and freshman Antonio Peña led the men in the B 8K with his time of 25:45.5.
