No. 20 Baseball falls to Kansas State in Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship

The Longhorns were eliminated from the tournament and will wait to learn their NCAA Tournament selection on Monday, May 29.
ARLINGTON, Texas – No. 20 Texas Baseball lost 6-0 to Kansas State and were eliminated from the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Thursday at Globe Life Field.
The Longhorns (38-20) will learn their NCAA Tournament selection fate on Monday, May 29 at 11 a.m. The selection show will be broadcast on ESPN2.
Dylan Campbell was 1-for-3 at the plate and extended his hitting streak to 35 games to tie the Big 12 Conference record. He has smashed the previous Texas record of 25 games set by Michael Torres in 2008.
Lebarron Johnson Jr. started and pitched six innings, allowing two runs and scattering eight hits. David Shaw, Charlie Hurley and Zane Morehouse all pitched in relief.
Kansas State scored a run in the first on a couple of hits, but Johnson was able to turn a double play to get out of the inning without any more damage.
Texas got its first hit of the game in the fifth on a single from Mitchell Daly but the Longhorns were unable to scratch out a run
The Wildcats put the game away in the seventh inning with five runs on four hits and three walks. Kansas State loaded the bases with nobody out in the inning and took advantage.
