Former Longhorn is assured of a top-30 finish on the Korn Ferry Tour points list when the season ends in October.
AUSTIN, Texas — Former University of Texas Men's Golf All-American Pierceson Coody has officially secured his PGA TOUR card for the 2024 season. A three-time winner on the Korn Ferry Tour, Coody placed in a tie for sixth at last week's Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank and is assured of a top-30 finish on the Korn Ferry Tour points list when the season ends in October.
The No. 1 player in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2022 after he led the Longhorns to the NCAA team title, Coody has registered two wins and a total of four top-10 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour this season. He will receive his official PGA TOUR card after the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance (Oct. 5-8).
"It's awesome. It's really cool," Coody said following his finish on Sunday at the Utah Championship. "I feel like I have some much to learn and improve on. I was never the top junior. I didn't come into the game that I feel I have right now until my sophomore year in college. I'm really grateful to go play good golf and see where I stack up."
