Pash places third in 200m IM at TYR Pro Series Knoxville

Kelly Pash earned her second podium finish of the week and third top-five finish.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –Kelly Pash placed third in the 200-meter individual to highlight the final night of competition for No. 2 Texas Women's Swimming's at the TYR Pro Swim Series stop on Saturday inside Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. It marked Pash's second podium result of the week, after placing third in the 200-meter butterfly on Thursday.
Pash posted a time of 2:13.33 in the 200m IM championship final, for her third top-five finish, including a fifth-place finish in the 100m butterfly on Friday. In Saturday's 200m IM consolation final, freshman Angie Coe picked up the victory with a swim of 2:15.18 and fellow freshman Erin Gemmell took fourth in 2:17.39.
Jillian Cox opened the evening session with a third-place finish in the 800-meter freestyle, registering a time of 8:28.00. Leah Smith, who trains in Austin with Texas head coach, swam an 8:38.90 to place fourth in the event.
Gemmell also swam in the 50-meter freestyle consolation final, clocking 25.64 for a fourth-place result.
