No. 25 Baseball walks off Kansas again

Jalin Flores hit a second-consecutive walk-off, with a game-winning ninth-inning sacrifice fly on Friday.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 25 Texas Baseball got a second-consecutive walk-off win, 3-2, over Kansas to clinch the series on Friday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Jalin Flores did it again, hitting a ninth-inning sacrifice fly to drive in pinch-runner Jayden Duplantier from third base.
The Longhorns (34-21, 19-11) trailed 2-1 in the ninth inning before Will Gasparino worked a one-out walk to get the rally started. Jack O'Dowd then followed with a pinch-hit single to put runners on the corners. Jared Thomas tied the game up with an RBI single to left-center field and Flores followed with the game-winning sacrifice fly to center field.
Andre Duplantier II picked up the win on the mound, pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings with a season-high tying five strikeouts.
Max Grubbs started and pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing just one run on two hits with two strikeouts. Cade O'Hara pitched 1 1/3 scoreless out of the bullpen with one strikeout.
The Jayhawks took an early lead with a run in the second inning off of Max Grubbs after a leadoff walk came around to score.
The Longhorns responded with a run in the bottom of the second to tie the game up 1-1. Casey Borba was hit by a pitch and Rylan Galvan walked before an errant pickoff throw allowed Borba to score from second base.
The Jayhawks retook the lead in the seventh inning with a couple of hits off of relief pitcher Ace Whitehead.
Texas put together a big ninth inning for the second straight night to secure the series-clinching win.
The Longhorns will look to complete the series sweep on Senior Day on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
