Junior duo garner third-team acclaim.
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Longhorns junior standouts Max Belyeu and Jalin Flores collected their second Preseason All-America honors, earning third-team distinction from D1Baseball on Tuesday.
Belyeu and Flores also garnered first-team plaudits from Perfect Game earlier in the offseason.
Following the 2024 season, Belyeu was tabbed the Big 12 Player of the Year, emerging as one of the top hitters in the country.
As a sophomore, Belyeu slashed .329/.423/.667 with 18 home runs and 53 RBI.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound outfielder paced the Longhorns in slugging and OPS, while matching Flores in homers.
A consensus All-American a year ago, Flores cemented himself as one of the best offensive shortstops nationally.
Flores tallied a team-high 22 doubles and 56 RBI, while being tied for the club lead in home runs and total bases (158).
The San Antonio, Texas native posted a .340 average and a 1.064 OPS, guiding Texas to its 63rd NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Longhorns open the season on Feb. 14 against Louisville in Arlington, Texas, as part of the Shriners Children's College Showdown. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Globe Life Field.
